As VP Finance you translate the company vision of providing personalised learning to every employee worldwide and into our growth and equity story, by identifying growth drivers. You are accountable for defining the company strategy together with the CEO, based on our financial lever analysis. Further, you will oversee our internal operations in terms of financial analysis, controlling, and accounting as well as in legal.

What you'll do here at Sharpist
Within 1 month you will…
Get familiar with our business model and its input variables as well as key drivers
Understand and execute the processes underlying our financial reporting
Derive first recommendations on how to improve the quality and insightfulness of our reporting and financial planning
Establish an interpersonal connection with your team of 3 and be involved in the hiring of a Legal Counsel
Within 1 quarter you will…
Manage our our internal and external accountants to ensure a diligent and timely bookkeeping, invoice handling (outgoing and ingoing), and cash management
Take full accountability for financial reporting (incl. BWA, P&L), forecast, and recurring revenue reporting (FP&A)
Co-author our growth strategy with our CEO and COO based on solid financial metrics and analyses
Support the CEO in investor and board relations
Be responsible for our short term & long term cash planning
Within 1 year you will…
Have accompanied at least one significant financing round with international investors
Build out capacities to run complete accounting processes internally
Be a lighthouse for strategic analysis and execution in- and outside of the company
Be the financial expert our CEO can rely on
Be a trusted advisor for the sales team to ensure a quick and pragmatic handling of client's legal requests
Have learned from the strategic bets we have placed together

These hard facts will get us excited to get to know you better
Background in an enterprise-facing company, preferably SaaS environment and experience with recurring revenue models
FP&A background with a strong track record in the implementation of initiatives, Big 4 audit background is a plus
Experience in closely working together with the CEO and securing funding rounds (2-3 digit million)
German GAAP knowledge (HGB) is a must, IFRS / US-GAAP is a plus
Leadership experience of managing teams of minimum 3-5 people
Knowledge in Bookkeeping & Legal Matters
International work experience
